This is a maternal and child health App in 5 languages (English, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Pidgin) launched on February 14, 2019. It is a simple, easy to use and handy tool which provides access to accurate maternal and child health education and information. The App, which is the brainchild of the Executive Director- Folasade Ofurune, is an evidence-based App designed in response to a 3-months research on information and knowledge gaps among pregnant women and nursing mothers in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State. The launch of the Sweet Mother App is historic to the mothers that HEDEN has worked with; our long-time partners – Child Health Foundation, USA, Rainbow Cards Limited and Olubayo Nig. Limited.
Objective: The objective is to provide easy access to accurate maternal and child health education while removing the socio-cultural and environmental barriers made available in the language best understood by the people.
Target Population: Pregnant women and nursing mothers, including families.

HURRAY! – Sweet Mother App Research selected by the American Public Health Association (APHA)!
After the launch of the App, the research/abstract that led to the development and launch of the Sweet Mother App was selected and confirmed for Roundtable Presentation during the American Public Health Association – APHA’s 2019 Annual Meeting and Expo (November 2-6, 2019) in Philadelphia, USA. The abstract was selected among excellent submittal and was adjudged to be of high quality and interest.
